The Who is English hard rock band formed in London, England in 1964. The members are Roger Daltrey (lead singer), Pete Townshend (guitarist), John Entwistle (bassist), and Keith Moon (drums). The genres they were associated with happened to be rock, soft rock, hard rock, and soul rock. They are best known for their live performances and hit songs Baba O'Riley, My Generation, and Won't Get Fooled Again. Some noted achievements were their rock operas, Tommy (album), Quadrophenia (album), and A Quick One, While He's Away (song). The Who still plays today, yet sadly, Keith Moon died in 1978 due to a accidental prescription pill overdose at the age of 32. His best friend, John Entwistle, soon followed.Entwistle died of a cocaine overdose in 2002 at the age of 57. Later, Townshend was accused of buying child pornography, but was proven innocent.Overall, in the end, The Who has contained some of the most influential talent in rock history with some of the most impressive instrumental skills, and manage to be a iconic mark in rock n roll to this day.
